Embrace the journey of self-discovery through yoga, just like Ameera Venkataraman, who found her calling after attending her first class in 2018. Starting her yoga journey at a friend's Bachelorette party, she was captivated by the teacher’s ability to create a nurturing environment and the calming experience of the class. This inspired her to invest in her own mat and join a local studio, which became a pivotal point in her life. Her unwavering passion for yoga continued to grow, guiding her through life's twists and turns.
In 2021, Ameera moved to Pittsburgh and found a sense of community at OM Yoga Lounge. Her commitment to yoga led her to complete the RYT 200 teacher training program, allowing her to share her passion with others. Ameera's teaching style is characterized by creative flows interwoven with elements of yoga philosophy, encouraging students to learn more about themselves with each session. She believes that yoga should be fun, and her light-hearted approach creates an atmosphere where students feel comfortable and open to discovery. In addition to her yoga practice, Ameera balances her professional life as a Category Manager in procurement and enjoys relaxing moments with her cats, Clay and Ellis, exploring coffee shops, or planning her next adventure. Through her journey, Ameera exemplifies how yoga can be a source of inspiration and connection in our lives.
