The Millennium Art Festival, located two blocks north from Chicago's busy Millennium Park and the "Bean", returns to Chicago for its 17th year. The Illinois Center Complex, Chicago Art Institute and Chicago Cultural Center are all popular destinations for people to work or play. Also, Millennium Park and "The Bean" are also nearby. Chicagoans, tourists and convention goers love and patronize this show.The festival takes place in Chicago just south of Chicago River in an area called South Michigan Avenue. This is close to the many cultural amenities that have long been associated with destinations in the heartland of the city. The area is bordered to the west by the Chicago River and Michigan Avenue, while to the south it borders Randolph Street and Lake Michigan. Despite its central location, this community is predominantly residential. It is known for the architecturally significant buildings which line up parallel to Millennium Park Grant Park and Lake Shore Drive. Harbor Point Tower is a well-known high rise in the neighborhood that serves as a beacon for Chicago's outer driving. The neighborhood is enriched by newer residences like 340-on the-Park and Aqua. These condominiums offer their residents original architecture with an eye-catching design that is both energy and environmentally efficient. The area is a vibrant place with offices, consulates and business headquarters.The festival is held on Lake Street, just off Chicago's famed Michigan Avenue. It is located next to the AON Tower and the Prudential Building (originally known as the Standard Oil Building). The festival is open to all. Loading and unloading is easy with the drive-up to your booth.Michigan Avenue Urban Show!Artist Sales: Artists retain all sales revenue from their show.Around 130 exhibitor spacesStaff Support: Amdur Productions is on-site throughout the festival to help artists with everything from loading in to loading out.Load in: Friday morning and Thursday evening load-in is available.
