Hickory Fair Overview

Celebrating 112 years of fair fun, the Hickory American Legion Fairgrounds hosts a variety of events. The highlighted event is the All-American Food, Family Fireworks Bash on July 4th, 2026.

Main Attractions and Entertainment

• July 4th Bash: Features a fireworks show, beer garden, bounce houses, and live music from Caleb McArthur, The Whiskey Ridge Outlaws, Sigmon Stringers, and Nick Mac The Noise.
• Admission: $25 per 6-passenger vehicle; $35 for 7+ passenger vehicles.

Markets and Agriculture

• Farmers Flea Market: Open every Thursday at 5am. Vendor booths are $10 for a 10x10 space.
• Got To Be NC Program: Celebrating its 40th anniversary, promoting local farmers and agribusinesses.

Exhibit Hall and Special Events

The fairgrounds offer rental spaces, including a 200 ft x 60 ft building and an Exhibit Hall. Throughout the year, the venue hosts diverse special events such as:

• Dog shows
• Antique, car, and motorcycle shows
• Model railroad shows
• Clothing and jewelry shows
• Gun and weapon collectors shows

Vendor contracts for the 2026 season are currently being distributed to previous partners.
