Pfda Wildfowl Art Festival 2026
The Pacific Flyway Decoy Association (PFDA) hosts its 54th Annual Wildfowl Art Festival in Sacramento, July 11‑12, 2026. The show showcases three core exhibit categories: (1) Traditional and contemporary hand‑carved decoys, ranging from full‑size life‑like birds to miniature and classic 6‑inch swap pieces; (2) Fine‑art wildlife paintings and sculptures, including the CWA Decoy of the Year and Best‑of‑Show galleries that feature award‑winning works from 2015‑2025; and (3) Antique decoys, highlighted by historic pieces such as the 2,000‑year‑old reed decoys from Lovelock Cave now in the National Museum of the American Indian. Competitive classes cover specific species (e.g., Redhead, Ring‑necked Duck, Northern Shovelers) and themes (e.g., Miniature Decoy, 3‑Bird Rig, Fish Carving). The festival also includes seminars, artist‑in‑action demonstrations, vendor booths, and a banquet. PFDA’s educational mission is reinforced through carving workshops, newsletters, and outreach at regional birding events throughout 2026.
