Gasparilla Pirate Fest 2027
Gasparilla is Tampa's signature annual pirate festival, celebrating over a century of tradition hosted by Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla. The 2027 season features three main events:
- Children’s Gasparilla (January 23, 2027): A family-friendly day presented by Chick-fil-A Tampa Bay. Highlights include the Preschooler’s Stroll, an acrobatic air show, a parade with pirate floats, dance performances, marching bands, and the Piratetechnic Finale.
- Gasparilla Pirate Fest (January 30, 2027): The flagship event presented by Seminole Hard Rock. It features the legendary invasion where Ye Mystic Krewe captures the key to the city, followed by the grand Parade of Pirates along Bayshore Boulevard, drawing hundreds of thousands of revelers.
- Outbound Voyage (February 28): A concluding event where the Krewe boards the Jose Gasparilla II—the world's only fully-rigged pirate ship—for a final sail around Davis and Harbor Islands. The ship docks in downtown Tampa, welcoming local pediatric cancer survivors.
