Frieze Seoul 2026
Frieze Seoul 2026, held 2–5 September at COEX, is a multi‑disciplinary art fair showcasing contemporary works across galleries, a dedicated Viewing Room, and on‑site performances. The fair features over 20 Japanese galleries, highlighting cross‑border dialogue, and a strong focus on Korean artists such as Anicka Yi, Lee Bae, Yeesookyung, and Kim Bohie. Special collaborations include Chanel‑curated talks with Jinju Lee, Nosik Lim, Kim Bohie, Yumi Chung, Yunchul Kim, and Sojung Jun, as well as Stone Island‑backed projects by Im Sungoo. The program offers durational pole‑dance performances, funeral‑procession pieces, and a range of video, sculpture, and textile works. Editorial content highlights include interviews, artist award winner Im Youngzoo’s new commission, and a retrospective on Kim Tschang‑Yeul. The fair is complemented by Frieze Week Magazine articles on pan‑Asian voices, Korean‑Japanese artistic exchange, and a focus on sustainability and community engagement.
